Advice for KG

I don't have all the answers. I probably don't even have most of the answers. But out of experience and general years on this earth I have more of them than you do KG. So this is where I've decided to share those tidbits that randomly invade my brain. I love you, and I hope this helps. The Ground Work

Don't Wait

Don't wait for anyone to get their shit together. Especially not a significant other. It's not your place to sit around treading water waiting for someone else to get their life on track. You move forward and if your paths cross again then it was meant to be. Ask me how I know.

Yes, It's Difficult.

Yes, moving on is difficult. Yes, making new friends is difficult. Yes, meeting the right person is difficult. Getting a new passport, applying for a loan, registering your car, filing your taxes they're all difficult. The cool part is you can do hard things. Call/text me if you need help.

Meant For You

It is absolutely impossible to miss out on something that was meant for you. So knock it off with chasing people, things, prizes, etc. If it's meant for you, you'll have it. If its not then something better that you're not currently equipped to fathom is coming.

Respect Your Body

Do what you want with your body, let other people do what you want with your body. But always do those things with respect, because your body is playing the long game and it will pay you back in time.

The Best Laid Plans...

Your plans won't always work out just the way you planned. As a matter of fact, most of the time things will go awry. You have to be flexible enough to accept a curve ball.

I went out of my way to make sure I didn't have children with the wrong person. I was determined wouldn't raise children of divorce after being a child of divorce myself. Turns out, I'm raising children with the "wrong" person anyway. And it has nothing to do with actions I did or didn't take.

This is my curve ball, one of many. But they were meant for me, and I will make a home run of them anyway.
